Rebecca Wants Clients to Know ...

I want potential clients to know that I recognize the courage it takes to begin counseling. Reaching out for support often happens after someone has spent a long time trying to carry things alone, questioning themselves, minimizing their struggles, or wondering whether what they are feeling is “serious enough” to deserve help. I believe the decision to begin therapy is not a sign of weakness, but evidence that a healthy and hopeful part of you is already moving toward healing and change. I also believe people are often far more resilient than they realize. Therapy is not about becoming someone entirely different; it is about developing a deeper understanding of yourself, learning to navigate life with greater intention and self-compassion, and creating space for growth even in the midst of pain or uncertainty. My goal is to provide a counseling relationship where clients feel genuinely seen, heard, supported, and encouraged as they move through that process.
Becoming a counselor has been a deeply personal goal that quietly remained with Rebecca through many seasons of life. Before entering the counseling field, she spent several years working in public relations and communications, helping others tell their stories and navigate meaningful moments in their lives. Over time, she realized she felt most drawn not simply to people’s accomplishments, but to the deeper human experiences beneath them. Pursuing counseling as a second career has allowed Rebecca to step into work that feels both deeply meaningful and deeply human. She understands that people often come to counseling during seasons where life no longer feels familiar, such as after loss, during major transitions, in the midst of emotional overwhelm, or when they feel disconnected from themselves and uncertain how to move forward. She believes there is tremendous courage in allowing yourself to be seen in those moments and considers it a privilege to sit alongside people as they navigate them. Rebecca’s counseling approach is grounded primarily in existential therapy, meaning she believes lasting change happens through greater self-awareness, authenticity, connection, and alignment with one’s values and sense of purpose. Many people seek therapy hoping to “fix” symptoms, but often beneath anxiety, sadness, stress, or relationship difficulties are deeper questions about identity, meaning, grief, purpose, or how to move through difficult seasons of life.Rebecca also utilizes practical tools and interventions from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) depending on each client’s needs and goals. She especially values approaches that help clients develop insight, emotional regulation, healthier coping strategies, and self-compassion. Rebecca strives to create a counseling environment that feels warm, genuine, collaborative, and grounded — where clients can feel safe enough to explore difficult emotions honestly while also building practical tools for growth and healing. She has a particular interest in supporting individuals during seasons of transition — those moments in life where people may find themselves wondering who they are becoming, grieving changes they did not expect, or struggling to reconcile where they are with where they hoped they would be.

Rebecca's Office Space ...

Rebecca’s office space reflects the type of counseling environment she hopes to create for clients: calm, welcoming, reflective, and comfortable. Soft colors, natural textures, warm lighting, floral elements, and nature-inspired artwork all contribute to a space that feels grounded and peaceful while still holding warmth and personality. She understands how vulnerable it can feel to walk into counseling for the first time and wants clients to feel at ease the moment they enter the room. From the cozy seating and soft textures to the calming lavender tones and nature imagery, every part of the space was chosen with the hope that clients would feel safe enough to exhale, settle in, and simply be themselves.
