True North Counselors is a DBA that various business entities within this space go by. However, we have recently launched a new organization called The Guiding Star which is a part of True North Counselors and serves as our organization for hiring. We are excited to be expanding to help bring quality service and care, not only to our clients but also to our employees.

The Mission of The Guiding Star

The Guiding Star is a comprehensive outpatient mental health counseling practice made of a stellar team of dedicated and empathetic professional counselors whose primary purpose is assisting our clients in elevating themselves to reach for the stars.

Our providers meet their clients where they are at and assist them with navigating the complexities of life through the lens of evidence-based empirical services. We operate from the perspective that the client guides us through their world and we can offer our professional insight and utilize the tools of our field to assist them with enhancing the quality of their life.
The founders of The Guiding Star created this outpatient counseling experience to fulfill an unmet need in the community for stellar, comprehensive, and expert care to individuals, couples, and families experiencing an elevation in mental health symptoms. The heart and soul of this practice is to marry together the idea of excellent counseling with counselor self-care to provide an optimal experience for both employees and clients.

Current Opportunities

Interns
The Guiding Star currently does not have any positions available but is always open to receiving applications for potential future opportunities. This position is open to Master's level students who are looking for their practicum, internship I, or internship II site. This internship focuses primarily on private practice skills and abilities including excellent client care, business, and marketing strategies.
